I'M WALKING AWAY!



Sometimes in life you have to walk away from the things that no longer serve you.

Life is a gift and we sometimes take it for granted, Many of us are creatures of habit, even if those habits aren’t good for us. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is walk from anything that no longer serves us, grows us, or makes us happy. Have you ever found yourself staying in a job that no longer served you? You had reached your growth potential in that position but still stayed there for security or stability. You were basically stuck on the road to nowhere, but you stayed because it was easier than starting over somewhere new, us as human beings, oh no we don't gel very well with the word "change" I’ve often heard people say, “Although I am not happy here, at least I know what to expect here.” 

It's basically financial freedom with a spoonful of unhappiness, but you've dreamt about financial freedom with a massive glass full of happiness and fulfilment right? It is that fear of the unknown that keeps people in a holding pattern, that fear of having to work immensely hard to get what you want and what if it doesn't work out? that massive risk of losing everything to be genuinely happy. It’s that fear of the unknown that prevents growth from taking place. "But how will I survive without it, him or her"

Have you ever found yourself staying in a relationship that was more of a curse than a blessing? I used the word curse because a curse is something that brings trouble or bad luck to your life. If you are in something that fills your life with disappointment, leaves you feeling depleted, takes away from your life instead of enhancing your life, that’s a curse, well in my opinion. 

I truly believe life is what YOU make it, whatever it is that you desire to do in your heart do it!

You are in control of your own life, trust that you are wise enough to make your own decisions, sometimes our environment can cloud our visions and our decisions.

Happy Pancake Day! :)

Hey Guys,

As you all may have notice I am a serious food lover! I LOVE to eat and I LOVE to cook, I find both Theraputic lol.

Maybe one day once I've peaked in my fashion career I'll invest in a restaurant who knows.

So I don't normally blog about food but today for some reason I had an epiphany, "I might as well blog about all the things I love" I mean it is a lifestyle blog I guess and this is part of my lifestyle so here goes :)

It's Pancake dayyy! This morning I woke up at 9am on my day off to make pancakes, I'm someone that loves to experiment so I decided to make Cinnamon and Vanilla pancakes with a side of smoked bacon.. Sounds amazing right? Well it was! Lol

Here's my recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  •  butter for frying
  • • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla
    • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon

    Method:

    I decided to be lazy and blend everything so I measured all the right ingredients and popped it all in the blender:



    Once you've blended everything you should have a smooth & thick mixture:

     

    Now heat up the frying pan, don't have the fire to high otherwise you'll burn the pancakes and we don't want that now do we lol.

    Get a tiny bit of butter and add it to the frying pan. Once it's melted pour a small amount of mixture into the pan, leave it to cook for about 1-2mins and then turn it over, how I usually do it, when I see the pancakes forming lil blisters I know it's ready to turn over: 

    Now if you want to add a bit more flavour to spice your pancakes up you can add cinnamon and vanilla to the mixture:


    I did and they tasted great! I also added a side of bacon as they go down so well with pancakes. So there we have it Cinnamon and Vanilla Pancakes garnished with melted butter & Golden Syrup:

    To help yourself, you must be yourself.




    To help yourself, you must be yourself, don't worry the world will adjust, let go of the thoughts "what will people think of me" when you are being your true self, you will attract the right people, who will not judge, but accept you for who you are, so follow that dream, fight those fears and be the best YOU can be. 

    Working and living in such a judgemental world can be so hard at times, you find yourself comparing and judging. When I first got in to the fashion industry I wasn't sure who I was, I didn't no who to be or how to carry myself, I wanted to stand out and be like all the other stylists, designers and fashion icons I use to research and see but as months went by and then years I realised that wasn't me, I was trying to fit in and be like "everyone" else. 

    What we need to realise and accept is that we all have our own qualities and talents  and through being our true selves we can perfect them and eventually be the best we can be! Thought I would share some words of inspiration today :-) have a lovely day all and remember to help your self you must be yourself!

    Night Walker -





    If you obey all the rules, You miss all the fun.

    Sometimes in life it's good to be random and spontaneous, spontaneity opens doors for new opportunities, new blessings and experiences you may have never dreamt of.

    “Spontaneous- Of a person having an open, natural, and uninhibited manner"

    Let yourself go you never know what path you may end up on. 

    Life moves fast and becoming comfortable saying “no” to opportunities will only lead to a life full of regrets. You don’t have to crave the center of attention or an adrenaline rush to be spontaneous. You just need to take chances, to remember that life isn’t about plans and expectations; it’s about fleeting moments and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. 

    So if there's something you want to do but your allowing fear to hold you back, just close your eyes, think positive and let spontaneity take over. :)

    This was actually a spontaneous shot of me, taken after a days work, I had just finished my make up ready for an evening out and decided to take a few shots and I love how they came out.

    Winter white - A Smile is always in style

    Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy. So just smile even when your feeling down it will make you feel better :)


    Although white tends to be thought of as a summer colour, designers recreated a dreamy winter wonderland on the runway in angelic hues like ivory, eggshell and cream. Brighten and freshen up your seasonal wardrobe with these crisp and clean winter white fashions to wear this season and let your inner angel shine!

    I am wearing a cream turtle neck slim fit top from Topshop paired with a cream "TFNC" textured print body con skirt, along with a pair of nude points from river island. 

    I am very hot on turtle necks this season, they automatically dress up an outfit with such an elegant flare!

    - BTS - Disorder Mag - Shoot

    Yesterday I spent most of my time on set styling these beautiful models for Disorder Magazine! I had so much fun working with everyone, it was amazing! Check out some of the BTS images. 





    Allow me to reintroduce myself..


    It's winter now so for me it's all about black! Whilst I was out shopping I came across this lovely jumper knitted dress from zara, it's perfect for a casual day out and you can dress it up like I did, I paired the dress with these zara cut out boot heels and a classic Prada bag.
